About Me
Hello, my name is Melani Mulia, and I'm the creator behind ImageryByMel.
I've always believed there's beauty in everything. Sometimes, you simply have to look a little harder to find it. That belief inspires my photography and fuels my passion for capturing Melbourne's unique character through my lens.
What began as a love for taking photos soon became a way to tell stories, share emotions and connect with people. Through ImageryByMel, I showcase the Melbourne I know and love, from breathtaking sunrises and city skylines to hidden laneways, vibrant cafés, beautiful gardens and unforgettable moments that make this city so special.
As a volunteer City Ambassador and Melbourne Greeter, I've had the privilege of welcoming visitors from around the world and sharing the places, experiences and hidden gems that make Melbourne one of the world's most liveable and inspiring cities.
My work has been featured on The Weather Channel, Channel 7, Channel 10, ABC News and the Bureau of Meteorology, and recognised by organisations including the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), Arts Centre Melbourne, the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, the Royal Exhibition Building and many others.
Above all, I believe in kindness and giving back. When we're in a position to help others, it's a privilege. That's why 15% of the profit from every sale is donated to support people, communities and causes in need.
